Democracy features

           1.    Democracy is the form of government that allows people to choose their rulers.

           2.    Democracy has expanded throughout the twentieth century.

          3.    Democracy did not spread evenly in all parts of the world 

          4.  While a majority of countries are democratic today, there are still large parts of the world that are democratic.                                                                                                                                         

          5 .    Democracy is form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people.

          6.   Democracy the final decision-making power must rest with those elected by people .

          7.   A democracy must be based on a free and fair election where those currently in power have a              fair chance of losing.

         8.   In a democracy each adult citizen must have one vote and each vote must have one value.

         9.   A democracy government rulers within limits set by constitutional law and citizens' rights.

        10.   Democratic government is a better government because it is a more accountable form of         government.

        11.   Thus democracy improves the quality of decision-making.

         12.   Democracy provides a method to deal with difference and conflicts. 

        13.   Democracy enhances the dignity of citizens.

       14.   Democracy is better than other forms of government because it allows us to correct its own mistakes.                                                                                                                                                 15.  It was established first in some regions and then spread to other regions.
